Rex and I celebrated our first anniversary a couple of weeks ago and it was so fun to spend the day together. We made dinner reservations at
The Roof Restaurant because we received a gift card there as a wedding gift. Before dinner we planned to go to the Salt Lake Temple and do sealings, as I figured it was probably the only thing I would be able to do at the temple being so pregnant. Sadly, the temple was so busy with live sealings that day that we were turned away. We didn't really have a backup plan, so we just walked around Temple Square and then over to the City Creek Center to window shop.
Finally our dinner reservation time arrived. We were so excited - a fancy buffet and a beautiful view of the Salt Lake Temple. Rex was such a gentleman (as always) and carried my plate from the buffet to the table. We enjoyed taking our time since it's not exactly the type of restaurant that will be a frequent visit for us.
It has been the happiest year of our lives. We get along so well, love to be together, and can't wait to be parents. I'll probably cry more seeing Rex with our baby for the first time than I will even seeing our baby haha. He'll always be my number one!

Side note: my first anniversary gift was the second band that goes to my wedding ring. I had been looking forward to wearing it all year and what do you know...my pregnancy fingers are too big to wear my ring. Guess I'll wait a few more weeks :).
